My name is Jen Lubad and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor and a 500 hour trained Yoga and meditation Teacher.
With over 17 years experience in the counseling profession, and as a graduate of West Chester University specializing in Counseling Psychology, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients as well as currently running an Intensive Outpatient Program at another facility.
In addition to being an individual counselor, I have served as a clinical supervisor to other practitioners, ran a women's mindfulness support group as well as teaching numerous yoga and meditation classes. I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, therapeutic yoga techniques and familiar DBT informed strategies as well as traditional talk therapy and CBT. I am currently working on incorporating ACT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, in my practice.
I am an interactive, eclectic therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support, techniques and feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I find that integrating complementary methodologies such as yoga therapy, meditation and breath work to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
I am is a current member of the American Counseling Association and the National Board for Certified Counselors as well as ACBS. I have been practicing yoga for 18 years and meditation for 10 years. I have attended numerous trainings and intensives to help integrate yoga and meditation with counseling including Life Force Yoga, Yoga Skills for Therapists. I tell clients that I never teach what I don't practice myself. I am currently learning ACT and using it in my own life along with using it to work with clients. It has been transformative.
I live just outside Phoenixville with my husband and two cats Mercury (pictured) and Maggie. Along with helping people I love yoga, roller skating and reading.
